Youth Baseball Network is planning a special Opening Ceremony for the inaugural YBN National Championship in Branson, MO. The Championship, scheduled for August 19-22, 2015, showcases the 12U National Champions of several major youth baseball organizations.
The YBN Opening Ceremony will take place at the fabulous Branson Landing. It will commence at 6:30 PM on Wednesday, 19 August. Youth Baseball Network and its YBN National Championship marketing partner, Ballparks of America, have planned a fun, entertaining evening for participating players, their families, and local fans of youth baseball.
Branson Landing features a scenic boardwalk along the 1.5-mile Taneycomo Lakefront. At the heart of the Landing is a vibrant town square terracing down to the $7.5 million spectacular water attraction that features the first-ever merging of water, fire, light and music. You will be amazed by the dazzling interplay of water Fountains shooting 120-foot geysers and fire cannons blasting, all choreographed to light and music. The water and fire spectacle is a creation of internationally renowned Wet Design, the producers of world-class shows for Downtown Disney marketplace in Orlando, Universal City Walk in California and the Bellagio in Las Vegas.
Additional entertainment will be provided by Branson's popular 'Buckets N Boards'. Matt Levingston and Gareth Sever have handcrafted a hilarious and high-energy show chock-full of precise percussion, ridiculous songs, spectacular tap dancing, inventive instrumentation and unique musical talent.
In addition, Missouri State University Head Baseball Coach, Keith Guttin, will be the Guest Speaker. Coach Guttin has been Head Coach of the MSU Bears since 1983 and is a member of the Missouri Sporots Hall fo Fame. He was recently named the 2015 Missouri Valley Conference Coach of the Year an award he's now won five times. Coach Guttin will entertain a 'question and answer' segment - and will discuss his experiences in baseball.
There will also be a special pin exchange ceremony between teams. The host Branson RecPlex All-Star team will provide all visiting players with a unique Branson pin, while Branson players will receive a pin from each organization.
The Master of Ceremonies for the Opening Ceremony will be Hamilton Chang, CEO of Ballparks of America.
To kick-off the evening, players will be picked-up at the team hotel (Radisson Hotel Branson) by Branson’s famous duck boats, ‘Ride The Ducks’ – the nation's largest amphibious tour operator and amphibious vehicle manufacturer. Ride The Ducks will provide the teams with an entertaining sightseeing experience en route to the Branson Landing.
In all, a fun way to begin the very prestigious Youth Baseball Network National Championship.
