9-year-old Brady Kahle’s baseball card collection is big, but he’s willing to give it up for a friend in need.

Recently, the Springfield, Massachusetts resident held an auction and raffle of thousands of both baseball cards and other sports memorabilia he’s collected since he was only 3, with all of the proceeds going to his friend London. London was diagnosed with brain cancer and underwent treatment last month and will likely need more treatment.

The two are longtime friends and play in the same youth baseball league together.

Items up for bid include a Roberto Clemente card, a Pedro Martinez rookie card, several autographed cards, and a Super Bowl 50 program with cards from quarterbacks Peyton Manning and Cam Newton.

Devil Rays Outfit 10,000 Youth Baseball Players

For the third straight year, the Tampa Bay Devil Rays are investing in tiny pitchers, catchers, infielders and outfielders.

The Rays recently announced that they’d be doubling last year’s donation and giving 10,000 shirts to local tee-ball leagues, and Coach Kevin Cash and others will host a coaching clinic on February 13.

The organization will also hold “PLAYBALL Day” where kids will experience baseball instruction, games, and other entertainment on February 14.
