SWMO Bombers Crowned GMB 12U Missouri State Champs

The Southwest Missouri Bombers of Springfield, Missouri have won the Greater Midwest Baseball (GMB) 12U Missouri State Championship. By doing so, the Bombers have qualified for the prestigious 2016 Youth Baseball Network National Championship in Branson, Missouri.

The Bombers Head Coach is Kelly Hunt.

The SWMO Bombers will serve as the YBN National Championship host team and will compete against the 12U National Champions from American Amateur Baseball Congress (AABC), Amateur Athletic Union (AAU), Continental Amateur Baseball Association (CABA), Dizzy Dean Baseball (DDB), and the National Amateur Baseball Federation (NABF). The five major youth baseball organizations will crown their champion at their respective World Series tournaments.

The YBN National Championship will be played August 17-20 at the Branson RecPlex.  The invitational tournament will also feature a special Opening Ceremony at the Branson Landing on Wednesday, 17 August at 6:30pm, plus a full day of baseball fun and ceremony beginning at 1:30pm on Championship Saturday.

Games will begin Wednesday, 17 August at 10:00am. Games continue Thursday and Friday at 5:00pm, with the Championship Game scheduled for Saturday at 4:30pm. For a full tournament schedule click here.  All games are free admission.
