Alabama Miners Win 12U Dizzy Dean 2016 World Series

The Alabama Miners from Cordova, Alabama won the 2016 Dizzy Dean 12U World Series.  The Dizzy Dean World Series was recently played in Snowden Grove Park in Southhaven, Mississippi. 

By being crowned the Dizzy Dean National Champions, the Miners have earned a paid berth to the Youth Baseball Network National Championship in Branson, Missouri. They will compete against several other organization’s National Champions and the Missouri State Champion.

The YBN National Championship will be played August 17-20 in beautiful, family-friendly Branson.  Along with Dizzy Dean’s Champions, the prestigious tournament will feature the 12U National Champions from AABC, AAU, CABA, and NABF, along with the Missouri Champions who were crowned by Greater Midwest Baseball of St. Louis.

The YBN National Championship will also feature a special Opening Ceremony at the Branson Landing.  Along with a fabulous water and fire display, the ceremony will feature former MLB pitcher Scott Bailes, as guest speaker.  In addition, entertainment will be provided by nationally renowned baseball comic and YouTube sensation, Domingo Ayala.  There will also be a pin ceremony, as each player will receive a special YBN-Branson baseball pin.
