Baseball comic and YouTube sensation, Domingo Ayala, will be a special guest at the 2016 Youth Baseball Network (YBN) National Championship in Branson, Missouri.

Domingo will entertain teams and guests at the YBN Opening Ceremony at the Branson Landing on Wednesday, 17 August.  The ceremony begins 6:30pm at the Landing’s fabulous fountains and amphitheater.

The YBN National Championship is a prestigious ‘tournament of champions’ featuring several major youth baseball organizations’ 12U National Champions and the Missouri State Champions. The tournament will be held at the Branson RecPlex August 17-20.

Domingo Ayala was born and raised in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic.  At a young age, with the influence of his cousin and longtime baseball coach, Vladimir Ayala, Domingo began to excel at the game of baseball.

Ayala’s “Theory of Beisbol” series and other videos on YouTube have racked up more than 15-million views.  He has performed in a variety of settings, from indoor sports facilities, sports complexes, youth baseball fundraisers, corporate events, and even in MLB locker rooms.  Ayala’s unconventional journey to excellence as a fictional athlete provides a great deal of comedic material that sports fans have embraced over the past few years.

A message from Domingo: “I’m looking forward to meeting all the young players that are so excited to play baseball. These kids motivate me to get better…even though it’s impossible for me to get better than I already am right now. I just can’t wait to be around all this ‘big-tyne’ talent!”

“Having Domingo join us at the YBN National Championship and performing at our special Opening Ceremony is exciting,” stated Gil Vieira, Founder & CEO of Youth Baseball Network.  “Along with a competitive tournament, the objective of Youth Baseball Network is to provide the players with as much fun as possible. Domingo will certainly add to the entertainment the kids and families will experience in Branson.”

The ceremony at the Landing begins promptly at 6:30pm with the introduction of the championship teams. The teams will arrive at the Landing via Branson’s famous duck boats, ‘Ride the Ducks’

All games at the Branson RecPlex are free.  It will be a week of great fun and excellent baseball.  You’ll be pleasantly surprised by the talent of these young players participating in the YBN National Championship.
