A group of high school baseball players are helping to grow the game in Hawaii.

Over 100 youth baseball players were on hand at the Gabby Inaba Field recently to receive some training from Konawaena High School players.

The efforts combined Big Island Baseball of the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) and the Wildcats,
and focused on the fundamentals of the game.

Baseball hasn’t necessarily thrived on the west side of the island of Oahu, but the school’s coaches hope the camp will help change things there.

Reds to Host Youth Camp Tour in 2016

The Cincinnati Reds have a few stops to make in May and June aside from their regularly scheduled games.

The organization recently announced its 2016 youth camp tour, which will take place from May 30 to June 3 at Bellarmine University, part of a 13-city schedule.

The camps include boys and girls ages 6-14 and are run by members of the organization and at least
one current Reds star.

Each participant gets a Reds uniform and a trip to the American Ballpark for a tour and a home game.
