AABC Crowns PL Siege 2016 Pee Wee Reese Champions

The American Amateur Baseball Congress (AABC) recently crowned PL Siege from Pembroke Pines, Florida its 2016 Pee Wee Reese Champions. 

Pee Wee Reese is the 12U Division of AABC.  The World Series was recently held in Toa Baja, Puerto Rico.

PL Siege is led by Head Coach Eddy Bermudez.  His team went undefeated in the highly competitive tournament.

By winning the championship, PL Siege will represent AABC in the prestigious Youth Baseball Network National Championship in Branson, Missouri.

The 2nd annual YBN National Championship, a ‘tournament of champions’, will be held August 17-20.  Along with the AABC champions, the tournament will feature the 12U National Champions from AAU, CABA, Dizzy Dean and NABF. The host team is the Missouri State Champions, representing Greater Midwest Baseball (GMB) of St. Louis.

PL Siege was led by Pee Wee Reese World Series MVP Derek Bermudez.  The outstanding catcher hit .614 with 3 home runs and 9 RBI. 

The YBN National Championship will feature a special Opening Ceremony at the fabulous Branson Landing on Wednesday evening, 17 August. The teams will ride the famous Branson duck boats, ‘Ride the Ducks’, to the Landing’s fountain and amphitheater. They will be welcomed by the Honorable Mayor of Branson, Karen Best.

Included in the ceremony will be guest speaker and former Major League Baseball pitcher Scott Bailes, plus nationally renowned comic and YouTube sensation, Domingo Ayala.
