There’s a famous saying often used in business, ‘If it was easy, everyone would do it.’
Great accomplishments in life are difficult. When things get tough it’s easy to quit. Perseverance is a quality in good business people that results in greatness. The world, as we know it, would be different if Steve Jobs or Walt Disney did not endure.
While my friends at the fabulous, new youth baseball complex in Branson, Missouri, Ballparks of America, have not created the next Apple or Disney World, they have developed one of the finest youth baseball facilities in America -- and, I know how long and hard they worked to accomplish this feat.
The first two Youth Baseball Network National Championships were played in Branson because of Ballparks of America. YBN has been involved with the facilities’ executives for years and actually followed them to Branson. Needless to say, YBN fell in love with the Branson community and all it has to offer youth baseball players, families and the industry.
While waiting for the complex to be completed, YBN was fortunate to play its first two Championships at the Branson RecPlex, a quality city facility.
It has been worth the wait.
YBN will play its 2017 YBN National Championship the week of 14 August.
Congratulations to the team at Ballparks of America for their perseverance and great accomplishment. I look forward to a long, mutually beneficial relationship, as we develop the YBN National Championship into the premier youth baseball tournament in America.
